Jan Kracík

Fine cuisine is a Kracík family tradition. Jan’s grandfather was a cook at the U Krakonoše Coaching Inn in the northern Bohemia. Jan graduated from the prestigious Poděbrady Hotel School. In 1999 he won Best Chef of the Year in the junior category, and he has since been a two-time finalist in the general competition. Jan honed his craft abroad at Le Jardin des Remparts in Beaune, Les Crayères in Reims, and the Mount Juliet Golf Hotel in Kilkenny with Tiger Woods among his patrons. In France, Jan’s gastronomic philosophy was steeped in the spirit of the cuisine française with an emphasis on the natural flavors from fresh ingredients brought to life through innovative cooking techniques. Since returning, Jan served as head chef in several of the finest Prague eateries including the Kinský Palace—rated among the best 50 restaurants in the Czech Republic
